We have movie night every friday night. During the fall months we moved the movie outside with the projector, started up the fire pit and had some fun:) We even had some friends over a couple of times to join us. Who can resist s'mores anyway?

Trick or Treat: Bettendorf Style
Trick or Treating was a lot of fun this year. The town we live in is super cute, family oriented and everyone knows each other. It had been a rainy day, but there was a break in the weather just in time for the scheduled trick or treating and EVERYONE was out. Whole families walked together, neighbors were talking on all of the corners. All the houses were decorated and homeowners were waiting on the porch ready to hand out candy. There were kids everywhere just like you see on TV and even better all the kids knew each other from school. We saw many of N & H's classmates. I figured we go out and do a block or two then go back to the house, but it was so much fun we trick or treated until dark. What's even better? Everyone abided by the rules and there were no late night doorbell rings as we were trying to get the kids in bed. So nice!

The Annual Pumpkin Patch Post
We found a fun pumpkin patch in Illinois to check out. It was a pretty day and there were lots of fun things to do. The kids chose to ride the ponies and play on the playground. The best part was that they had tons of huge pumpkins and they were all on sale for $25. So needless to say we brought home a monster pumpkin to sit on our porch :)
and then for the carving party --everyone got in on the fun this year

9 months
at 9 months, Macky was back to his normal sweet, happy self.
He started crawling! and he's so funny. He knows he's doing something big and gets so tickled with himself as he moves around.
He cut his 4 top teeth, so that meant a lot of drooling and some fussiness...but nothing some motrin couldn't handle.
Macky is also really enjoying his toys these days. He loves playing things that make sounds and bopping around to the music. I love that he is entertaining himself for periods of time. His favorite toy right now is the Sock Monkey Jack in the Box. He thinks it's hilarious and of course his giggles are contagious so before long we all start laughing.
We have no new stats on weight and height, but he's healthy and growing and wearing 12-18 month clothes.
His likes still include:
paci
siblings
eating
crib aquarium
being outside
His dislikes include:
being left alone
the vacuum cleaner
corn
