Nite Nite with Daddy

This is how we go Nite Nite with Daddy!
He reads us stories...Sometimes sister gets noisy and Daddy has to hold her so we can finishThen we get ready for our baths and have conversation timeand get some loveand if we are lucky, maybe a game of airplanethen its off to the tub!Sometimes we take baths together, and sometimes we take turnsthen we get our clean diapers on, and practice our skills (like sitting up or rolling over)
Sister likes to hang out with her dolls

and she likes to play with Daddy

...then Mommy and Daddy tuck us in, say our prayers, and turn off our lights so we can go to sleep and dream about the big things we will do the next day!

Good Night, Sleep Tight
Don't let the bed bugs bite
If they do, get a shoe
and beat them 'till they're black and blue!

Rub-a-Dub Dub, Two Babies in a Tub

We stole an idea from our triplet friends and tried bathtime in the Bumbos. It was fun--a good way to have bath time together...but if you watch the video the babies were a bit skeptical. Enjoy.

a cute post bath photo...we were cuddling while waiting for the changing table

Me Too, Me Too!

Holden would just like for everyone to know that he can read too!

And his other big announcement is that he held his own bottle today! I was in an FRG meeting with no camera access :( and was feeding Holden a bottle when he put both hands up and held it himself for about 10 minutes before he got tired...even pulled in and out a few times. I'm not sure if he knew quite what was going on, but he is definitely learning and you could tell by his eyes he knew he was doing something BIG...i can't believe how big my babies are getting!

Take a look, Read a book!

We already have quite a collection of books and i enjoy reading to the babies at night. Mostly they just sleep or stare off into space while i read, but i figure it's good to start the habit and also for conversational skills with learning the cadence of speech. This week though after experimenting with different books I was having a hard time getting them to focus on any of the pictures. So i went out on a mission to find some good starter books that would have simple shapes and colors that the babies would find interesting and like to look at. Mission Accomplished! I bought a book of black and white simple patterns and a book of colors. Above is Nora concentrating on a target...she seemed to really like that pattern best. Guess it goes to show girls are born loving Target! Below are pictures of Nora looking at her color book, she gave all colors a chance but she really became quite animated while looking at blue...it's Daddy's favorite color too!
"Mom, do you think i can have a dress in this color?"
