Back to School

School started back at the beginning of the month for these 2.  They are now the big kids at school and they know it!

i just had to add these two pics from the past 2 years of first days...lotsa growing over here!

this year Daddy was able to come to first day drop off too.
and although Mike and I had no problems dropping our littles off for school, Davis was not too happy about leaving his best buddies behind.  The teacher gave us a sweet little gift when we were leaving to help "cope" with any emotions.  The Hershey's kiss was needed immediately to help our littlest calm down!

End of The Year

May/June means the end of all of our scheduled activities.  In particular, preschool and cubbies.

I did this last year and was amazed at how much the twins changed over the year.  This year they both shot up in height!
~First Day and Last Day of PreK-3~
Their end of the year program was cute.  Holden was a little more active than last year and Nora was all over those songs and motions, like a rockstar!

There was a small awards program for Awana.  The Cubbies kids just walked across the stage and got a prize from Mrs. Rachel, their teacher, but they thought they were big stuff of course.  Mike and I have been really proud of the kids this year though, they learned a new bible verse almost every week from Sept. thru May!

Preschool Christmas Play

The kids had their 2nd annual Christmas Play a few weeks ago.  You may or may not remember last year, but it was a bit of disaster.  Both the play and my personal situation.  I swore i wouldn't go to another one without some help...it is nearly impossible to take care of a wiggly child while keeping up with and taking pictures of the 2 other kids on stage. Thankfully the play was on a Monday and my dad could come and help me out.  He was on permanent Davis duty--and that was a huge help!  Davis ran all around before the play and then Dad kept him quiet in the back with a bunch of snacks.
The play wasn't quite the mess that it was last year, but i still really have no idea what was going on--and neither did the kids i think.  As expected with a stage full of 1-4 yr olds, there was a lot fo moving around and crying.  No matter though, my twins were cute (Holden was Joseph!) and they seemed to have a good time and were proud of themselves.

 Nora, the bunny
what do you call a bunch of bunnies anyway?

that's a lot of little people!
the sweetest bunny you'll ever meet
and Joseph...poking Baby Jesus' eye out
the baby's eye was broken and wouldn't stay open.  That obviously really bothered my kids, as they couldn't take their hands off of it.

Gallberry Farms: Field Trip #2

We had another field trip this past week.  Gallberry Farms had lots of fun things for the kiddos to do.  They had a great time and were exhausted by the time we left!

Clark Park: Field Trip #1

A few weeks ago the twins had their first field trip of the year.  We went to Clark Park and Nature Center.  Its a cute little center not far from the house with some animal to look at and then a lot of land and trails to roam around in.

Listening to the ranger
 looking at the turtles
 Taking a walk
 playing on the playground
a fossil dig...Davis was obviously right in the thick of it all...never wants to be left out!
 their treasures
 D has some too!
