Day 6

This morning Nora woke us up and she was in a great mood. Nana made breakfast and Nora sat with Daddy while he ate. Great Grandpa also came by for a visit. We went ahead and let Holden sleep for awhile so Nora was able to have some alone time with the adults and soak up all the attention!

Holden finally woke up after another astonishing sleep....14 hours!
Mommy had a lunch date with her friend Heather from high school. Heather came by a bit early so she could meet the babies and play with them some. It's always exciting meeting new aunties!

Holden also wore a new outfit today. Nana picked it out because of the stripes...but its one of Mommy's favorites because of what it says!
In the afternoon, Mommy and Daddy left Nana with baby-duty so they could pack up. We are going on a trip, visiting all of our out-of-town family and friends. We should be gone from Asheboro for about 9 days. The first leg of our trip is to Fayetteville where we are staying with our wonderful Hawaii friends Jake, Hillary and their new baby boy Jack. Hillary was pregnant with Jack when they left Hawaii last summer and we had yet to meet each other's babies. Jack is just 1 day older than the twins...but he's definitely a bit bigger!

look at those legs!

Jack was a bit overwhelmed at all the new people in his house. He just wanted his Mommy!

Everyone in their jammies, hanging out in Jack's crib
The drive to Fayetteville went really well. I realize it isn't all that far, but compared to anywhere we go in Hawaii it was the longest car ride yet for the babies. I was a bit worried since the carseats can sometimes be an issue, but the babies did great with just a little whining because they were hungry at the end. Longer drives are ahead this week, so i'll keep you posted on how it goes!

Day 5

Wednesday morning we all woke up basically on our normal schedules...6:30 feedings then playtime for an hour before morning nap. I have been so pleased with how well they are adjusting.

Playtime this morning was with Nana and Daddy, Mommy took some pictures and then took a nap herself!

Grandpa Sam was off of work today so we spent the day with him. Here they are on the back porch. Minus some rain, which we don't really mind either, the weather has been very nice...just the right temp!

As you saw in the earlier post, we spent the morning at the Petty garage and then had lunch at CiCi's pizza (cause Mike and I have a weakness for a couple of their pizza's and have been craving it lately!). Then in the afternoon we took the babies to meet some more family. We saw Aunt Kelly (which apparently we didn't get any pictures of..oops!), Great-Grandma Burns, and then Cousin Madison.

Holden especially LOVED Maddie. He thought she was so funny. We also got some cute videos of them together....maybe a good one for an upcoming Movie Monday???
We ended the day at Grandma and Grandpa Caudle's house for supper, playtime and bathtime.

Bathtime was really funny for Mommy because she got to watch Grandma and Grandpa give them baths and get them ready for bed. Bathtime/Bedtime is always a bit exciting and it definitely didn't disappoint on this night!

The King

that is, The King of RACING!

We went to the Grand Re-Opening of Richard Petty's garage today and got our picture taken Petty himself!

Here is the link to the article about the re-opening if your interested www.wbtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=12544574 . Car's aren't exactly my thing, but it was neat to see the #43 race cars that i watched on TV as a little girl . The big draw was apparently the custom Dodge Chargers...they looked like a normal cars to me, but my husband and father-in-law informed me that i was mistaken!

My friend Katie had to be there for work so we got to hang out for a while and she was able to see the babies again. This time it wasn't bed time so they were in much better moods. Mike and Sam seemed to enjoy looking at the cars and they were able to introduce Holden to them as well! Us girls picked this car as our favorite!

Day 4

Today started off a little more like normal (and a little to my disappointment) with Nora up and at 'em at 6 am. Still, she slept 10.5 hours though, so i shouldn't be complaining! It's just that i have yet to learn my lesson and I went to bed around 1 am , so it wasn't that long of a sleep for me!

Thankfully Daddy is a morning person and likes to take the early shift. Here he is with Nora swinging in our porch swing. The highlight for today was taking the babies to meet Mike's grandmother. The babies were just so good today. They took long a nap at Grandma and Bill's house and after they woke up they were so personable and sweet--we got some great pictures! We also had dinner tonight with Mike's Dad. Sam has off of work tomorrow and we have some fun things planned--you'll have to tune back in to see what we did--but here are some sweet pictures from dinner.
