Staying Busy

We're staying busy here in Fville with our family of 5...
just take a look.

The twins are continuing to learn to ride their bike. Holden is doing very well...Nora is a work in progress.  But there is no denying they are super cute while trying!

Nora is also working on her accessorizing skills...accessories are the key to good fashion you know.
Bath Buddies...until they are fighting over toys...but we won't talk about that right now ;)

apparently Nora thought Minnie needed to learn a lesson.  and some people think i am harsh with the punishments!
Mike sent Nora and I out on a date day.  We went shopping and had lunch.  Nora is quite the shopper...she browses the racks like a pro and can spot anything purple from a mile away.
while we were away, the boys were bonding at home.  Holden is quite a good helper (as long as the thomas the train app is a part of the plan!)
Davis is busy growing.  I have asked him to slow down.  He just grunts. Just look at my big baby!
Mike, Davis and I had the weekend to ourselves.  The grandparents had the twins and we learned what it is like to have 1 baby... (granted he's a pretty fabulous baby) ...we were like WHOA!, we missed out, this is a piece of cake! Although by the end of the third day, we were itching to see our kiddos as things were pretty quiet around the house!

Spooky Snacks

and for the last of the Halloween posts...

Preschool assigns snack to everybody once a month.  Ours happened to be the day before Halloween so we made spooky snacks for their friends.  Cookies and Monster Pudding.

Decorating Pumpkins

we opted for paint instead of carving this year...this way the kids could be super involved and the pumpkins will last longer.  and let me be honest that anything that has ANYTHING to do with purple is a winner in Nora's book!

my favorite part of this picture you ask?
the fact that "The Burns" really looks like "The BuMs"

Pumpkin Patch

we finally we made it to the pumpkin patch the weekend right before Halloween.  we were supposed to go a few weekends ago but we ended up being hulled up in the house with strep throat, so we were determined to go this weekend...let no hurricane get in our way!

nah, actually it was a fun morning.  the rain held off, it was overcast, cool and super windy--but the kids didn't seem to mind at all.  This year's pumpkin patch was a huge change from the past few years in HI--hot, dusty and a hayride with a tour of the banana/mango groves.  This year it definitely felt more appropriate...like fall should!

they had wagons already there, perfect for pulling kids and pumpkins!

holden said he found an egg!
she was super happy running around

the patch also had lots for the kids to do...our kids chose the playground.  There was a train, castle, boat, cornhole and bikes.  they loved it.

they preferred this way to play cornhole...the bags were kinda hard and stung when you got hit, but that didn't stop these two sillies from getting right in the way and trying to catch the bags!

Trick or Treasure!

that's what Captain Hook says on Jake and the Neverland Pirates!

We took Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and our Little Mummy to church for Trunk or Treat.  They definitely enjoyed Halloween much more this year.  We got a little bit of a late start this night because of an appointment i had and we wanted to make sure they had a fun time, so we stayed out a little late, went ahead and had some candy and then watched a movie with the kiddos before bed.

We've actually never given them candy before--just never felt the need to, but tonight they learned what it is all about.  They loved it, and admittedly there were some tears when we cut them off.  They also had their first hot chocolates--which was also a hit!  Add this fun night on to a practically perfect day with my three kiddos just playing at home, we had one great Halloween!

Spookies!
someone had the kids climb in the truck bed and find the candy in all the hay...holden and nora kept trying to take the decorations instead...

Davis was fussy while we were getting dressed and then slept through the Trunk or Treat...so he had his pictures taken later at home ...pretty cute Mummy yes?
