Nora's Message to Daddy

Dear Daddy,

I was very surprised to hear you had to leave early this morning. I am so sorry i didn't get to say goodbye, but little girls like me need lots of sleep. I just wanted to tell you that i had a good day today with mommy and my grandparents. I gave them lots of smiles and even a couple of coos. I'm trying really hard to catch up to Holden, talking is just very difficult!

I had mommy take some pics of me and a video so you could see me too--i don't want you to miss out on anything. You're my favorite daddy ever and I will miss you while you are gone.

The Arrival...

...of the grandparents that is!

Monday afternoon my mom and stepdad flew in for a visit. Well, i guess its more than a visit--Scott will be leaving on Friday, but my mom will be staying with me for the next 8 weeks while Mike is in California for deployment training. He leaves tomorrow morning...early...actually more like tonight considering i have to drive him to base at 2 am!

Even under these less than ideal circumstances, it is great to see Mom and Scott. Here are some pics from the airport.

Once we got back home from the airport, the babies had baths and went to bed and then slept for the next 9 hours! yep, our new record--and this time i didn't freak out and think they were dead! They have also continued to sleep throughout today--another growth spurt i suppose. I have told mom not to worry, this is an abnormal day and there will plenty of time to play/hold the babies...as well as change diapers, walk the halls and try to stop all the crying...so just take the easy day as a blessing to adjust to the time change!

Playing in our Bumbo

Mike and I were working in the nursery this weekend, finally trying to finish up all the little details, and we decided to try the babies in their bumbo chairs. Although its getting better every day, they don't have great head control and get tired quick, but still the babies seemed to do okay in it. I bet the bumbo will be a lifesaver before long!

Holden really liked being able to sit up and look around. We got some really cute pics!
