Day 20-22

Well, i have some catch-up to do. Things got a bit busy the last few days at home.

Day 20

Thursday Mike the babies and I went to visit Grandma and Bill Barbee one more time. It was a good visit--we had lunch together and the babies took a nice nap on Grandma's bed. Then we went to see Aunt Lou Ann at work so she could show off the babies to her friends.

Lou Ann's friend Beth is getting lots of kisses from HoldenAfter that we went to my dad's for dinner. This time Anne made yummy kabobs. We also had a surprise visitor for dinner..Hillary and Jack! They were making their way back to Fayetteville from Mocksville and stopped by to see us one last time.

Day 21

Friday was NOT a good day for the babies. We had plans to visit Mike's Grandma Una, visit Chick-fil-a, and then hopefully catch up with the Hurley family (a family whose kids i used to keep). All seemed fine in the morning. We got up early and went to eat breakfast with Great-Grandpa Williams, but after their morning nap all went to poop! I'm not sure exactly what happened but Holden was NOT happy it seemed to be a bit contagious because Nora was grumpy on and off too. All of this to say...we didn't go anywhere Friday. But seriously, this is 1 bad day in 23 that we were home...so i guess they were allowed, and it was nice to just relax and not go anywhere.

Friday night, Mike and I met some old friends from highschool at the new restaurant in Asheboro, the Flying Pig. We had a great time with everyone and lots of laughs...that's the best kind of night! After dinner, Mike and I went to see the A-Team. I had no idea what this movie would be about and just assumed i wouldn't really enjoy it, but it was actually quite entertaining--so good choice Hubby!

Day 22

Saturday our intention was to stay close to the house, try and keep the babies on somewhat of a schedule, do laundry, pack, etc. I did meet my highschool friends again for lunch at San Felipe...this time though a very good friend I haven't seen since my wedding was there...Jennifer! Jenn drove down from Washington DC to see us and it was so good to see her too!

We are all so different now and on different paths of life and living in different parts of the world, but it seems every time we get together, its like no time has passed. We don't know everything about each other's lives anymore, but that never really matters. We're all just good friends who have a good time together and I am so thankful to have them in my life after all of these years!

Since San Felipe is so close to Chick-fil-a we couldn't help stop for a moment...I had to let the babies meet Mike and Andy! Here's a great pic with Mike and the Cow! Chick-fil-a always brings back good memories...it was one of the most fun places I've ever worked!

My brother, Alex, celebrated his 21st birthday on Thursday, but he's going to summer school at Appalachain right now, so we celebrated his birthday on Saturday afternoon. Chocolate cake with chocolate icing and chocolate homemade icecream was on the menu and it was DE-licious! Happy Birthday Alex!

The rest of Saturday was spent with lots of drop-byes of good family and friends saying good-bye and seeing the babies one last time before we leave. It was great to see everyone, but a bit emotional too. I always hate the end of our time at home and having to say goodbye--but I will say, it has been an awesome trip home and I have enjoyed every moment of it! It was so good to see each one of you!

Day 3

Monday was a very full day for us although it started kind of slow. Mike and I work up this morning and looked at the clock to see that it was 10 am. My first thought was "the babies!" --and they were FINE...just slept for 15 hours is all! What's even funnier is that they went back down after being up an hour because they were tired again. I know it is just the jet-lag...but WOW!

I ran out and got us some good ole chick-fil-a and my brother Alex met us for lunch. It was his first time meeting the babies and i just want to say that they were in such GREAT moods! I'll devote a whole blog to Nora and Alex later. Anyway it was really good to see him and it seemed that both he and the babes were having a great time.
After lunch with Alex, we all went to Dad's shop so he could do my hair. "Yes", i still wait to get my hair cut when i come home so Dad can do it. I've tried a few different people in Hawaii, but i can't ever get the cut that i want. Dad does it best, and its worth the wait. While Dad did my hair, Mike and the babies played together on the floor. Grandma Anne was able to get off of work early and come play too

Then we went back to my mom's house to see Great-Grandpa Williams for a little bit. While waiting on him Daddy and the babies played in the floor again and Mommy took some fun pics. I really do just love watching Mike with the babies. He's the best Daddy ever!

Then, YES THERE'S MORE, Nanny Katie came to see us! She arrived just in time for bath, feeding and bed so she helped get them ready and gave Daddy a little break that night. Night time routines are always pretty busy and we failed to get any pictures of Katie with the babies, but i know there will be some more before we leave. After bedtime, Nana took over baby duty and let Mommy and Daddy go out with Tim and Katie to eat at one of our most anticipated restaurants, SAN FELIPES!

We definitely didn't forget to take a picture of this fine moment...however i could hardly contain myself from digging in!
