It's been 1 week since this sweet smile left our home. It's been sad some, but we're doing okay. He's finally in Afghan now after a week of many stops.
It's crazy what a few years can change about a deployment... an iphone with imessage and facetime can really make a difference in communication. This won't be an everyday thing--he needs wireless to use these features and there is no wireless in his room or at work. Still it was good to see his sweet face and know where he was each leg of the trip.
