Hey Grandma Cottle, I heard it was your birthday! We haven't had one of those yet...but I think it sounds like fun!
I thought and thought, but didn't know what to get you, so i asked brother.

Brother said that a bear would be fun...but then he remembered that sometimes bears are naughty and hard to manage because they are so big...
So we decided on a little doggy instead!
But then Mommy said that you probably wouldn't want a puppy either and although we don't understand why not, we think she's pretty smart, so i guess we'll just say...
