Birthday Week

because the kids have so many people who love them dearly, the closer their birthday came, the bigger their pile of presents grew.  We decided that we should start opening a few each night that way it wouldn't be too overwhelming and they would have time to play with each toy before they opened the next ones.

So here is our birthday week of presents: maybe you'll find your gift in the mix!
MONDAY
Nora's first birthday present

Holden's first present to open

Tuesday
Barbie!

we're thinking maybe next year, we'll decorate the tree for their birthday first--with fun kiddie things and then put their presents under the tree.  It seems kinda like jumping the gun when we set up the Christmas Tree right around their birthday--but we still like to participate in the weekend after Thanksgiving decorating like everyone else!  So next year, Birthday Tree it is! I've been eyeing some cute animal ornaments at Target that will be perfect!

Wednesday
skyping with Nana and opening presents with her
Nana is talking to Poppy, Nora is checking her out
 CHEESE

possibly his favorite present...Woody! He goes about everywhere the family goes the past few days.

he puts the tied up balloons in his mouth and blows, trying to copy daddy

Holden cracked us up sitting on the horse watching the train go around

THURSDAY
we didn't take too many pics this day, but the cool present of the day was a bunch of animal figurines.  They love animals and the noises they make.  Daddy and the kids set up the train tracks again and put the animals around the tracks and the little ones in the train cars so they could be hauled around.  It was very "cool", said Holden. (one of his most favorite words!)

Thanks to all of you who called, emailed, Fbooked, sent cards/presents for the kids bday.  You all helped make their birthday great!  We are headed to the beach in a few hours to stay for the weekend and have their birthday party with all of the friends on Saturday.  I'll catch up on posting when we get back.  ;)  Happy Weekend!
